If the injured person receives physiotherapy due to an injury or illness, compensation for the loss of pay for the period of physiotherapy will be paid under workers’ compensation insurance.
The treatment must be physiotherapy, and it must cause loss of pay. If the treatment is given during a period of incapacity for work or outside the working hours, this separate compensation will not be payable.
Compensation is paid for up to thirty calendar (30) days per year.
Compensation for pay for the period of physiotherapy must be applied separately by providing the insurance company with information about the loss of pay. Compensation must be applied within one year after the costs were incurred.
