Risk classification of the occupational classes included in the Incomes Register

The Workers’ Compensation Center has introduced a three-tier risk classification system – low risk, medium risk, high risk – for occupational classes to aid the selection of an occupational class in the Incomes Register in situations where the insured has two or more equal occupations.

If an income earner has two or more jobs of different occupational classes, the occupational class of the main job is reported. The main job is the one that takes most of the working hours.

If the income earner works the same number of working hours in different jobs, the occupational class with the highest accident risk is reported. In such case, the occupational class risk classification maintained by the Workers’ Compensation Center can be used to help with the selection of the correct class.
